Elizabeth Ratlidge (1836-1917)

Elizabeth Ratlidge was born in February 1836, in Berkswell, Warwickshire, England to Ephraim and Elizabeth Ratlidge.

She married John Bunn on July 10, 1856, in St. Mary's Church in Leamington Priors, Warwickshire, England. They had two sons, John (born in 1859) and Absalom (born in 1862). The family immigrated to the United States in 1869, and settled in the state of Nebraska.

I don't know a lot about her but I have a shell that she brought with her from England and gave to her granddaughter Alice, who was my grandmother. I also have a cast-iron griddle that according to my grandmother was used by her when they settle on the Nebraska frontier.

Elizabeth died on December 16, 1917, in Wood Lake, Cherry, Nebraska. I have not found records as to where she is buried.
