John Bunn was born in May 1926, to Richard and Elizabeth (Hendy) Bunn in Nuthurst, Warwickshire, England. He was the second of seven children.
On July 10, 1856, he married Elizabeth Ratlidge in St. Mary's Church, in Leamington Priors, Warwick, England. They had two sons, John (born in 1859) and Absalom (born in 1862).
John Bunn and his family immigrated to the United States in 1869. They settled in Nebraska according to the Homestead Act of 1862. They originally settled in Seward County, but later moved to Cherry County.
He died in Wood Lake, Cherry, Nebraska on August 16, 1909. I have not found records for where he was buried.
